Scoreboards, subdomains, and Stage formats

v2.1.0 amazon
Scoreboards
  • Scoreboards, under Explore, at scoreboards.lafter.gg: the boards on a slider hung from the bar, each its own address. The bare address is the slider with nothing chosen.
  • Bug reports is the first board: a point a report that helped, by display name. Approve in the report's mail gives it, no sign-in, and lands on the board with their row lit; the one it goes to hears in their inbox. A point for a temp session's report waits until its address has an account.
  • Each org has a board: everyone in its draft by Mirth, most first, named by the Riot ID they play on and linked to its lookup. For the org's members and temp sessions; an open org's is everyone's. The org's pages carry a Scoreboard tab out to it, before Stage.
  • Points sit at the far right. An admin sets a total with the pencil past the end of a row, or adds someone with the + under the board, by name or Riot ID.
  • An admin previewing as Not member, or as a temp session, sees the boards an outsider sees: Bug reports and the open orgs'.
  • The Bug reports column reads Reports.
Lookup
  • Lookup is lookup.lafter.gg: a player at lookup.lafter.gg/Name-Tag, a team at /team/Name. Tournaments is tournaments.lafter.gg. The old lafter.gg addresses forward.
  • The search button turns while it searches. No line under the box.
  • Between the banner and the score, the tournaments they are in, on a slider, one open at a time: their Mirth there, their place on that board, the games it scored. For the org's own, the tournament and its scoreboard in the bottom corners.
  • Column names over the match history. The CS one switches the column: CS, CS a minute, vision score. K / D / A switches between the kills and the ratio. The open game's headers are the same switches: one reading for the list and the game.
  • A ranked game shows what it did to the LP after its queue, +21 LP or −21 LP, once a rank check has been made either side of it. With the Connector running, the rank is checked the moment a game ends, so every game gets one.
  • On the history's slider a group's queues are folded inside it: press Ranked and Solo/Duo and Flex open beside it; hover to see them. A Tournaments group, a segment a tournament, shows the games it scored.
  • Each rank on the banner is its own square. Hover one for every rank that queue has been seen at, newest first, with last split's end and peak and the best finish ever, read from the League client by a tester's Connector after a refresh.
  • Opening a game asks for every player's rank at once. A busy minute at Riot is one short wait.
  • Show 10 more is ten new games: Riot's list is read on from where it was left, not from the page's own count, which handed back games already shown.
  • The score block opens nothing; /score goes back to the player. Nothing long enough to score empties the panel.
  • For an admin, the Back to game tab sits beside the admin bar's tab.
  • A team's page is a banner -- icon, name, region, org, seats, and the five's Mirth big at the end, every move of it listed on hover -- then the roster as banners with level, rank, mirth, lane and seat, then the tournament games as they come in: when, against whom, how it went, what it did to the Mirth.
  • A link to a team lands on the same page a search for it draws: icon, region, org, seats, the five's Mirth with its moves, each player with face, rank, mirth, lane and seat, and the games. The plainer page it used to land on is gone.
  • A rank is Solo/Duo or Flex and nothing else: another ladder Riot lists, with tiers of its own, no longer stands as the held rank or shows in the banner.
  • A team's address is its name after lookup.lafter.gg, nothing in front of it; the old /team/ links still land.
  • A search with no match lands on the names like it, as banners: teams first, then players this site has looked up.
Stage
  • Formats: Worlds, a Swiss to three wins with deciders best of three, then a knockout of the eight through, best of five. MSI, double elimination, best of five, no reset. Seasonal, everyone against everyone, then the top four in a playoff. Custom is one piece: Single, Double, Swiss, Round robin or Free.
  • Swiss is whole from the start: every round's pools, 2W-1L, with the cells the teams will fill, empty until the round before is done. Lines run from a pool to the two it feeds and from a match to where its winner or loser lands, gold once a team is through. Rounds fill the height.
  • The title sits at the top; every saved bracket runs along under it, an org a section with a + to start one. The org slider is in the setup box beside the name. A new bracket is Untitled until named; the form picker reads Link form.
  • Team names are gold links to the team's lookup, with the team's icon.
  • A result is entered game by game: blocks you click to give a game to either team. Once a team has enough, the games not needed are struck through.
  • A match's time is entered in the zone you pick and read by everyone in their own. When the setup box names an availability question, a week of hours shows how many of the two rosters are free; click an hour to put the match there.
  • Standings show five rows; + more opens the whole table.
  • Org admins build for their org, site admins for every org. For them Stage is a tab beside Overview, Tournaments and Draft, and a match on a published bracket can be marked from the org's pages.
  • A game marked on a bracket moves Mirth. The site finds the game the two rosters played, scores everyone in it against the lobby, and keeps its Riot id on the bracket so it counts once. A player's entry value freezes at their first game.
Draft
  • Casters and Spectators are two lists under Teams. Casters are out of the Players list.
  • A team can carry an icon: one of sixteen shapes in one of ten colours, picked by the captain or coach from the team card, drawn beside the team's name everywhere. The colours are a bar along the bottom of the picker; a shape is always chosen, and Save keeps it.
  • Hover a Lanes cell that ends in an ellipsis for the whole run.
  • An offer that names more than one lane asks which on accepting, the lanes as tiles with the icon and the name; the lane shows on the roster and on the team's lookup.
  • A roster banner is the name, then mirth, lane and seat under it, the x a square in the corner; level and rank on hover, under the rest. The captain and coaches set anyone's lane from it.
  • A player asks to move lane from their own banner. The captain and the coaches get it in the inbox, Mid > Top with a check and a cross; accepted, the roster reads the new lane.
  • An offer sent or revoked shows at once: Sent on their row and the offer in the drawer, and back to Offer on Revoke, no reload.
  • The draft is members only. Signed in without a verified address for the org, you are sent to its Overview to join.
  • One row per Riot account. A temp session on an address your account has is you, not a second row; a second address with the same Riot account cannot sign up again. An admin previewing a temp session writes nothing.
  • A roster banner is two lines closed: the name with mirth at its end, lined up down the roster, the seat and the lane under it. Hover adds level, rank and region on a line under them, moving neither. The x is a small bubble at the bottom right, there while the banner is open. A long name scrolls sideways with a white … at the edge.
  • Setting a lane no longer reloads the page; what does reload leaves the drawer open, where it was. Picking a lane no longer keeps the banner open after the menu closes.
  • The team icon picker opens again, and saves; the colours are quick picks over a line that gives any hue. Until one is picked the button is a noob's face, and the Teams list wears the same.
  • The team name field is as wide as the name in it, region right after.
  • Abandon is its own section at the foot of the profile drawer, under a line: Leaving the tournament?, with the button beside it.
  • The pool's Region column is every region a player plays on or said they would, not one. An offer names one of them: a Region pick in the offer's title beside the seat, opening on the team's; it reads in the inbox. A long name there scrolls, with a white … until hovered.
  • The pool reads lanes off this org's forms where the draft page has none. The note in an offer is what they wrote under Extra, and it is not on the row.
  • Five rows a list, always; the rest behind +N more, in an overlay. In an offer the lanes picked are lit whole, and the button reads Send.
  • Casters and spectators are one list, with a Role column saying which. The Lanes column is wide enough for all five.
  • The lanes source slider in the profile drawer is gone for a temp session: there is no Lafter side to slide to.
  • Beside Preferences: Pulling from, naming the form the lanes are read from, linked. An org admin has a pencil there to pick which of the org's forms that is; unset, it is the newest one that asks lanes.
  • A light + at the right of an empty seat opens the players list with Free agents and the team's region already picked out. The opened-out list has those filters along its top; on the page it stays as it was.
  • A roster name that runs long keeps its white … on hover, and the whole name lifts into a bubble over the row.
  • An icon column on the Players and Teams lists: the face at the left of a player, the team's icon at the left of a team. The team's icon is the button in its drawer, bigger, no ring. A team name cut short in a chip or the list ends in a white … and lifts whole on hover. A renamed team is renamed everywhere on the page at once.
  • Two starters on one lane get a ⚠ beside their pickers, kept up as lanes change.
  • Sword, spotlight, ticket, curtain and drum redrawn so they read as what they are. The Region cell fits two regions; a third ends in …, and the lanes have the room.
  • A team name is sixteen characters at most.
  • Sending an offer from the opened-out players list no longer leaves the list gone from the page until a reload.
  • The team drawer redraws itself when somebody joins or leaves while it is open, within about twenty seconds; never under a hand in a field or an open dialog.
  • Captain or Coach, in a starter's seat picker, is an offer after asking, not a move: the team, or the coach's seat, is theirs when they accept. An offer's lanes in the Offers list are one line.
  • Three seats past the five, and a coach sits in one of them: with a coach the picker offers two subs, an empty third sub seat closes when a coach arrives, and a coach cannot be seated over three subs. The coach is set apart over the starters, each under its own word.
  • Lanes read with commas, close, in the pool and in the Offers list.
  • Teams reads how many and how many are open, like Players. Hovering a team's seats says how they are spread: starters, subs, coach, and what is open.
  • A captain with no team yet is told so over the Teams list, with Create one, which opens the drawer on the form. Picking Captain or Coach comes back with that drawer open. The form's region is picked already where we know one. A refusal under a form scrolls into view and flashes.
  • Captain and Coach need a Lafter account, and a temp session is now told so where it picks a side rather than handed a form that could only be refused. A captain alone on their roster is told where offers come from. The one-player-one-row check on a side change runs again; through the org's API it had been failing quietly.
  • A captain or coach with no team yet: a dot on the profile tab, a mark beside Team, and the form glowing while the drawer is open, until there is one.
  • Unranked is 0 Mirth, on the board and everywhere Mirth is said, placed by the first tournament game.
  • A verified work address runs a team, takes a seat, sends and accepts offers and holds Mirth without a Lafter account: the address is the person. Making an account with it later finds everything already there.
  • A captain or coach with no team: one banner under the side pills, Create a team to send offers, which opens the drawer on the form and circles it. The two captions it replaces are gone. Leaving the tournament? stays at the drawer's foot.
  • The opened-out players list has no filter pills: the column heads sort, Region puts the team's region first, and the + on an empty seat opens it sorted free agents first. The lanes column no longer swallows the dialog's width.
  • Becoming a captain or coach -- at the gate or from the pills -- brings the team form up as a dialog at once. Click outside it and the same form waits in the drawer.
  • On a roster, no lane is Fill, and Fill is the picker's first entry in place of Lane: a team of fills locks, a fill never clashes with anyone, and a lane ask reads Fill > Mid.
  • Search over Players and over Teams, the box across from the heading: the width of the word until it is used. On the page it pulls the top five matches; in the +more dialog it sits in the title between the word and the x and searches the lot.
  • No entry on the form the draft reads: a banner under the side pills to it, for anyone in the draft.
  • Free agent sits level with the Preferences heading.
  • Team names follow Riot's rules for a game name: three to sixteen characters, letters, numbers and single spaces, so a team reads in the lookup bar the way a Riot ID does. The name field says why a name will not do as you type.
  • The team name field counts against its sixteen as you type.
  • The + on empty seats and Offer beside players pulse gold until three seats are filled, the captain's counted. The caption saying where offers come from is gone.
Orgs
  • The Join tab hangs under the org's tabs and opens a dialog over the page, with an x. Closed, it goes to your inbox as a Verify note, off it the moment you verify.
  • Membership is verified again every thirty days. A month on, the join tab asks for the work email again and the org's pages wait; nothing of yours goes. Three months without, the membership goes; verifying brings it back.
  • The Forms list on the Overview stays put. Brackets carries an Admin -- Stage link for whoever builds them.
  • An admin previewing a temp session is one in the org whose page it is, nowhere else.
  • The FAQ, was Asked in the channel: a search across from the heading, a copy-link button on each answer whose link opens that answer on arrival, and nine more answers on signing up, accounts, sides, offers, requests, results, the Connector and the Discord bot.
  • The tournament page, rewritten to match the build: Mirth named as the point system, with how it is set and how it moves; the bracket on Stage, the draft, Scoreboards and Lookup named where they apply; the form linked wherever it is mentioned; sign up as a caster is a link that signs you up. The main-account answer says what the problem is: an undeclared higher-ranked account.
Inbox
  • A temp session has the inbox: what the site sends its address. No welcome letter, no mail between people. Signing up brings its messages along.
  • Notifications, at the foot of the drawer, are bubbles, one a source, gold when on. On to begin with.
  • The welcome letter names Scoreboards. A binned welcome stays binned. Its countless hours are a link to Backstage.
  • The drawers never open by themselves, reload or not. The profile tab has a dot until first opened.
  • Scrolling in a drawer, the inbox, Feste or a dialog never moves the page behind it.
  • A notification turned back on stays on; it used to come back off on the next load. The note for a point opens the scoreboard.
  • Mark all read is gone from the inbox bar. Tick messages and the envelope in the row under it marks them.
  • A captain or coach reads the Team group first; dragging a heading still sets the order for good.
  • A roster notice opens nothing: its lane and seat show under the line on hover.
  • Reply is on mail and offers only, not on a notice. Which lane? is one line of five.
  • An offer's line and a roster notice's details read Lane: Mid, Seat: Starter -- the word, a colon, the thing in bold.
  • A bug report's mail carries a Reply link that opens compose here with the reporter and the subject filled in, so the answer lands in their Lafter inbox. Any link with ?inbox=compose&to=Name does the same.
Feste
  • Asked how to find or do something, Feste points at it: the thing glows, opens, or wears a dot until clicked. Only when asked, one or two things at most.
  • Asked to be taken somewhere on Lafter, Feste takes you. Asked about a page, it links.
  • Feste sends with a >.
  • Feste knows where you stand: verified or not, which forms you answered, whether you are in the draft and on a team, whether a Riot account is linked. Asked what to do, it says what is done and what is left.
  • Told about something broken, Feste fills in a bug report -- named by it, in your words -- and opens it for you. Send is yours.
  • Asked how to do or find something on the page, Feste can point: whatever holds it opens -- a drawer, the menu on a phone -- it is circled, and an arrow runs from Feste to the circle. Sign In is one of the things it can point at, for making an account.
  • Feste's pointing follows where you are. Asked how to make a team: a captain with no team gets the form circled in the drawer; a player gets the side pills circled, then the form once they have picked Captain; on another page it takes them to the draft and carries on there. The chat stays open across the pages a guide crosses.
  • Feste knows which page it is on by name and no longer sends you to the page you are standing on. The chat stays open from page to page until you close it.
Account
  • The lines under Linked Accounts and Organizations / Tournaments are a bubble on an i beside each label.
Admin
  • The account list leaves out emulated players. Each account lists its orgs; click one to make them that org's admin, or take it back. An op admin can make others op admin.
Muster
  • An i beside an availability question says how the calendar works: drag to mark, click marked squares to clear, the box, the month, Clear, the timezone.
  • In the month, a day the week gives hours is available, and a click turns that one date off without touching the others or the week; a click on a day with nothing turns it on. The Month button breathes until it has been opened once.
  • An availability calendar opens on the week, with Month after it. Over the week, one box: Apply to every week. Ticked, the week you paint is every week; unticked, these dates only. Beside it, Clear: every week while the box is ticked, the seven dates on screen while it is not.
  • A form's address, once changed, keeps answering at the old one for thirty days, so a link already sent still lands. The editor says so under the title row, with the days left. The next change keeps the address just left and lets the older one go.
  • Availability: a week alone or a month alone is an answer. Under eight hours across the calendar, and save asks first. A day turned off in the month comes back off. The month is as tall as the week: one line a day, number and hours.
  • A form's link chip opens out to the whole address on hover.
  • On a results page the form's name is gold, and a click on it copies the form's link.
Discord
  • A Discord bot, the first cut: /lookup, /live, /watch (a line when a watched player starts a game, and how it went), /mirth, /team, /bracket. It runs on the box beside the relay, from lafter/bot; its README says how to invite it. discord.lafter.gg is its page: what it answers, and, next, the moderation side.
Connector
  • Signed in as a tester or admin, the Connector reads last split's ranks from the League client for players refreshed on Lookup. From 0.2.43.
  • The settings gear is a square flush in the top-left corner. From 0.2.44.
  • Built for Mac as well: one universal .dmg for Apple silicon and Intel, shipped beside the Windows installer, and the updater serves Macs their own. Not signed by Apple yet, so the first open is right-click, Open.
Site
  • Play in the top bar is Explore: Lookup, Live, Tournaments, Scoreboards. Signed out, the bar is Explore, Tools, Download and Sign In.
  • In more than one org, the bar names the one whose page you are on, then a ... that opens the rest on hover.
  • A bug report is From, What happened and Images (optional). Signed in, From is your account's address, locked, your name above it; Anonymous is the one way round it, and the report says when it was on. Send error logs, bottom left, sends the last sixty console lines; on to begin with.
  • Images on the bug report are one strip: the words until there is an image, then the images side by side, scrolling sideways, a + at the end to add another. Click one to see it full size. The dialog does not grow.
  • A bug report has a title, a few words under What happened?. It heads the mail and its subject, and the thank-you note names it. The buttons are Cancel and Send; From reads From – your name.
  • The bug report mail is text: the title, then who and their address, page, IP, what happened, the console, Approve.
  • https:// reads as written; the mono face no longer joins the slashes.
  • The top bar's tabs sit a little closer. Vertical spacing is tighter across the site.
  • On a phone the menu is a panel over the page, every link out at once; an org's name fits on one line; the bar and footer run edge to edge.
  • A slow lookup or a Feste reply in one tab no longer holds up the other tabs.
  • Stylesheets, scripts, pictures and fonts come compressed and are kept by the browser for a year; a change is a new address, so nothing stale is kept.
  • A page no longer stops for a minute now and then. PHP was sweeping old sessions from inside one request in a hundred, with that session locked, and the Connector's calls had left a million empty ones to sweep. A cron sweeps them now, and a call with no session cookie leaves none.
  • The footer is smaller and shorter. An org's page has one: its own line, employee-run and unofficial, in front of Riot's.
  • The download button is for the system you are on, says its version, and carries a menu on its end for the other one.
  • The small search boxes were cutting their own word short: the browser keeps room in a search field for a clear button even when it is empty. Gone from the tight ones.
